Description The company is seeking a highly-motivated and experienced senior software developer with at least 4+ years of proven success developing Java/J2EE applications to join their team in Barcelona. You are a Java expert and must have developed enterprise products for Microsoft and/or Unix platforms, with a specific focus on performance, scalability and security. Development will be in Java and will be deployed in a number of different IT environments such as BEA Weblogic, running a variety of operating systems. Essential Functions (Responsibilities) • Define, implement, test, troubleshoot and deploy software components. • Review of functional requirements, design, UI client work, application logic, application framework, network support and abstraction. • Create unit and component tests according to Soft. Dev. Manager and QA guides. Requirements • Minimum Bsc. in Computer Science or related field. Minimum 4 years’ relevant work experience. • Java, J2EE, SQL and web-related technology experience with very strong knowledge of current Java architectures. • Strong OOP knowledge and experience in n-tiered design and development. • Experience with Use Cases, UML and Design Pattern. • Must have an aptitude for creating prototypes, designing, developing and unit testing within tight schedules. • Best practices for secure, scalable software development. • Crucial for this position are creativity, enthusiasm, high energy, and self-motivation. • High-level English language reading and writing skills (all documentation is written in English).
