For our Shared Service Center based in Barcelona (Cornellà) we are looking for a: INCOME TAX ACCOUNTANT As a senior member of the Northern Continent Technical team you will be providing income tax services for our German, French, Dutch, Belgian, Austrian and Swiss entities taking in account local tax rules. Assure that the Northern European companies are complying with all the requirements set by the Local Tax Authorities. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure that the income tax balances under local and US - GAAP are correct and that legal requirements related with Income tax are followed by the Northern Europe companies • Calculation and posting of the monthly and year-end income taxes. • Preparation of the assigned balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis in line with company policy and deadlines. • Provide information and explanations to the external tax advisors for the preparation of the Income tax returns • Provide information and explanations required to the external auditors for their annual US GAAP and statutory audits • Participate actively, along with the Local Country Senior Accountant, in case of a Tax Audit, providing Tax authorities with the information required • Complete the 10K returns / Tax Proofs / 10T returns for onward transmission to the US for inclusion in the SEC annual report • Assure that SOX’s requirements on Income Taxes are met • Give responses on Income Taxes questions arisen within the organisation Qualifications: University degree level on Business Administration; degree in taxes desirable (e.g. tax advisor) Expertise skills in Income Taxes, with 2-3 years post qualification experience in a multinational industrial company Experience of income tax calculation according to the tax regulations of the Northern European countries. Experience of using SAP would be an advantage Experience of working in a team with other part qualified and qualified accountants Communicating with and influencing individuals in a large multi-disciplined environment Are you feeling challenged by career opportunities with Air Products?
