Following a recent organizational restructuring, the company now has a vacancy for a Human Resources Manager located at their Barcelona offices. This is a commercially-focused generalist HR management role in a fast moving and challenging environment, playing a key role in the delivery of a total Human Resource service to 150 employees by providing support in the following areas of HR: • Employment law and best practice advice • Advice on Company policies and procedures • HR Projects • Compensation and benefits including payroll • HR Information Systems • Recruitment and Selection • Training needs analysis and implementation • HR Administration Key responsibilities: • To ensure a comprehensive generalist HR service is provided in the following areas: o Company policies, procedures and standards o Employment law and best practice o Recruitment and selection o Disciplinary and Performance-related matters • To support all business reorganisations and restructures balancing business needs whilst meeting legislative requirements. • To ensure all relevant documentation and any payroll issues for the Barcelona office are resolved satisfactorily. • To take responsibility for the HR Information System (PeopleSoft) for Barcelona in line with company policy. • To ensure compensation and benefits are regularly assessed externally so the company remains competitive within current market trends and internally to meet equal pay/equal value standards. • To take responsibility for all Barcelona HR administration, including but not limited to: o Acting as the contact person for all generalist HR queries in Barcelona o Performance management and talent management processes. o Facilitating the monthly payroll o Ensuring all job changes are approved and implemented according to internal processes. o Complying with Spanish legal requirements. • To drive key HR projects to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant. • To be proactive in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR processes, policies and procedures. • To take responsibility for identifying training and development needs on an on-going basis. • To liaise with HR equivalents in Japan, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico to ensure data and communications are consistent. Skills/Experience: • Graduate calibre, HR qualified 3-5 years experience in generalist HR activities. • Extensive and up-to-date Spanish employment law knowledge • Well organised and disciplined with regard to policy, procedure and standards • Project management experience • Experience of compensation and benefits strategies • Good interpersonal skills, discreet and confidential with the ability to influence at all levels • Results-focussed and ability to deliver to tight deadlines • Can prioritise and be flexible in changing environment • Good oral and written communications and accurate attention to detail • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel • Fluent in Spanish and English • Knowledge of Peoplesoft desirable
