For our Shared Service Center based in Barcelona (Cornellà) we are looking for a: FOREIGN TRADE INTRASTATS As a member of the European Financial Accounting department you are responsible for ensuring that all key monthly European Community Intrastats government reporting requirement deadlines are met. Key Responsibilities: • review and cleaning of monthly data to be reported • resolution of blocked Foreign Trade sales transactions on a regular basis • verification of the reports with the VAT Accountants • actual submission of the reports to the local authorities using their software • handling of possible changes in the software provided by the local authorities to download the monthly statistical information into the local governments databases. • covering any potential queries from the authorities on the monthly Intrastats data we provide them • KPI measurements and reporting • communication with the master data teams on master data errors (e.g. materials master, vendor master, customer master teams, etc.) • feedback of recurring operational errors with the supply chain (e.g. Purchasing and Customer Service). • guidance on annual master data updates as determined by the EU authorities • provide support on any SAP system changes/updates • support on tax/Intrastats audits • updating/maintenance of related business procedures • support possible EU expansions or new European entities added by Air Products • identify opportunities for productivity and continuous improvement and implement initiatives to improve quality, reduce cycle time and cost. Qualifications: Preferable Trade/Administrative background/education. For example college/bachelor degree and work experience in Trade (import/export). We are not looking for candidates with a University/master degree. Fluent in English and preferable other European language, for example German, French or Dutch Ability to work with a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office, especially good command of Microsoft Excel SAP knowledge would be desirable Problem solving skills Knowledge of international trade and/or working experience in a shipping/distribution role would be desirable. Ability to work in a disciplined way with little guidance The jobholder must be detailed and accurate Communicating with and influencing individuals in a large multi-disciplined environment
