Our client is a top-tier e-commerce solutions provider, which through its integrated e-commerce platform based around key technology, marketing services, logistics and customer care components, is now providing e-commerce solutions for more than 50 partners in the retailing, branded manufacturing, entertainment and professional sports sectors. Mirroring the successes scored by its rapidly-growing and dynamic US parent, the Company offers international e-commerce solutions through its wholly-owned European subsidiary, based in Barcelona. In response to rapidly increasing levels of interest from prospective partners, the Company is expanding its Sales Team and currently has an exciting opening for an International Business Development Manager based out of the Barcelona office. The Mission: • Gain a solid understanding of the Company’s offerings, competitive advantages, market positioning and competitive landscape. • Qualify initial sales opportunities through research, financial analysis and contact with prospective clients Build and expand on a broad knowledge of the e-commerce landscape, including the issues and concerns of companies engaging in multi-channel commerce as well as the strategies and tactics that are delivering success. Apply that understanding by selling solutions to targeted prospects. • Gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements • Quickly and successfully develop and maintain business relationships with mid- and large-size targeted partners at the executive level. Work hard at fostering relationships with all members of the targeted organization. Maintain relationships not only during the sales cycle, but with prospects not ready to become an active pursuit. • Close deals • Present to potential customers to demonstrate services and gain new market share • Maintain relationships with existing customers through regular review visits • Represent the Company at trade exhibitions The Candidate Profile: • 5+ years of proven success in business development, client management, and/or sales, and 7+ years of overall business experience. • Experience selling complex solutions to large retailers and/or branded manufacturers • Track record of delivering profitable business and meeting/exceeding sales goals • Strong consulting and negotiation skills. • Must be fluent in English and must have excellent communication skills in one of the following languages: French, German or Italian. • Demonstrated ability to work independently, to take calculated risks and to exceed internal and external expectations. • Must have a successful track record of developing win/win successful partnerships in a competitive marketplaces with limited resources • Must possess exceptional ethics, excellent judgment, and a desire to win. • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred • 3 – 4 years experience in working in a consulting firm or in the ecommerce, customer service, logistics or investment banking sectors a plus Additional Desired Requirements: • Self starter with an entrepreneurial work ethic • Strong analytical skills • Strategic thinker • Excellent listening and communication skills • Ambition to grow within the Company • Organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to easily understand technology and communicate it to prospects • Results-oriented team player with a committed effort to meet individual goals • Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint • Experience selling complex solutions to large retailers and/or branded manufacturers
