My name is Carmen Hijosa, born in Spain and resident in Ireland for most of my life. I am a textile and fashion accessory designer, working between Ireland, BCN and the Philippipnes. At present doing R&D in collaboration with UPC, the university here developing some new products. These products are made using natural fibers from the Philippines. The heart of my company’s ethos is a requirement to use as many natural and renewable resources as possible as well as helping Filipino communities harness and develop their traditional textile skills to help create the fabrics and products we wish to market.
